I bought some things.
O'Reilly is celebrating "A Day Against DRM" today. 50% off on a variety of great books and lecture series. I myself snagged up Python Beyond The Basics - Object Oriented Programming and Python Best Practices.
I'm kind of disappointed that OOP Python is done using Python 2.7. I've only watched the first lesson so far, author introductions, but James Powell states that since most of the business world is still using 2.7 it makes sense to teach this course in it as well. I find it quite interesting that Python 3+ has been around since 2008. Almost a decade and adoption is still a struggle. Perhaps one reason this struggle continues is due to the abundant amount of resources readily available for Python 2. This also leaks into Django books and tutorials where older versions of Django compatible with python 2.7 are easier to consume due to the volume of available resources.
Perhaps another topic for another day. I do plan on writing some reviews of these tutorials when I finished them. Hopefully they will be up within the next month!
